What is Nostr?
Nostr is an open protocol that lets you own your identity and connect through independent relays.
Do I need Bitcoin to join?
No. You can watch, discover, and create without being a Bitcoin expert.
Where are clips stored?
Media is stored off-Nostr while signed posts, identities, and interactions travel through Nostr.
Can I use my existing Nostr identity?
Yes. Connect your existing browser signer and bring your identity with you.
Which Nostr signer should I use?
We recommend Nostr WoT for a straightforward browser-based identity. Alby is another compatible option, and you can also connect an existing Primal identity from the creator setup page.
Why can’t I connect when a signer is detected?
Only keep one Nostr signer extension enabled in a browser profile. Multiple signers can compete for the same connection and return no identity. Disable the others, unlock the signer you want, select its active account, then refresh and try again.
Does Zap Animations get my private key or wallet funds?
No. Your signer keeps your private key private and asks you to approve signing actions. Your Nostr identity and Lightning wallet are separate, so you can set up either one independently.
